Mrs. Margaret C. "Peg" Irwin, 89, of Plantation Walk, Carrollton, GA passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Mrs. Irwin was born in Washington DC on January 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Floyd A. Chalkley and Alma Noel Callenberger Chalkley. Mrs. Irwin was a homemaker and member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church. Survivors include, sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew Wayne and Maria Irwin of Newark, Delaware, Thomas Eaton and Jennifer Irwin of Germantown, Maryland, 5 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Irwin, 1 sister, and 4 brothers. Funeral services will be Monday, September 19 at 11 A. M. at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church with Rev. Hazel S. Glover officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 A. M. until the funeral hour. Pallbearers will be Mark Irwin, Rick Cumberland, Patrick Cumberland, Phil Carter, and Bruce Bell.
