Mrs. Magdline "Maggie" Redding Denney, age 82 , of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016. Mrs. Denney was born in Haralson County, GA on August 10, 1933 the daughter of the late Vernie N. Redding and Linnie Muse Redding. She retired from Rich's of Atlanta and was an active member at North Point Baptist Church until she moved to Autumn Square. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Hubbard of Douglasville, GA; grandson and his wife, David (Cheryl) Hubbard of Hiram, GA; great grandsons, Robert Bass, Zachary Smart and Ezra Hubbard; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert Redding of Temple, GA, Jimmy (Grace) Redding of Carrollton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Edna R. Allen, Katherine Walker, and Wylene (L.A.) Dukes all of Carrollton, GA, Joann R. (Joseph) Jeffries of Jefferson, GA, and Elaine (Danny) Camp of Villa Rica, GA; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Redding of Douglasville, GA, Lynne Johnson and Eris Denney Muse both of Carrollton, GA, Merle Denney of South Carolina, and Evelyn Denney of Bremen, GA and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her, husband, Jimmie C. Denney; brothers-in-law, Elbert Allen and Joe Whit Walker; sisters-in-law, Virginia Redding and Sara Redding; brothers, Charles Clarence W. Redding and David Redding. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. at North Point Baptist Church with Pastor Lee Wimberly officiating. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Randy Redding, Danny Camp, Dannie Redding, Chris Dukes, and Phillip Denney. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Jeffries, L.A. Dukes, Robert Redding, John Allen, and Jimmy Redding. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to North Point Baptist Church, 1400 Cedar Street, Carrollton, GA 30117. Interment will be in the Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery.
