Mrs. Lura Fay Hames, age 68 of Harriett Lane, Whitesburg, Georgia died Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Mrs. Hames was born in Williston, Florida on July 25, 1943, the daughter of the late Lonnie King and Vida Tyndel King. She worked as a grocery clerk at Kroger and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Hames; son, Brian Hames of Fairplay; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
