Mrs. Lucille E. "Cille" Scott, 85, of Roopville, GA passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Mrs. Scott was born in Monroe, GA on June 8, 1928, the daughter of the late Hugh Shannon Elder, Sr. and Annie Tate Elder. Mrs. Scott was the high school sweetheart and devoted wife of T. E. Scott. She graduated from Crawford W. Long School of Nursing and worked at Tanner Medical Center for 30 plus years as CCU nurse. Mrs. Scott was a master gardener, Senior Center water aerobics enthusiast, world traveler, and active member of Glenloch Baptist Church. She was a friend to all, and foe of fire ants and nut grass. She loved her patients and touched many lives. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Gail S. and Stephen Hill of Tallahassee, FL, Lyn S. and Pete Pierce of Weatherby Lake, MO, Sandy Scott of Marietta, 6 grandsons, 1 great grandson, sister, Sallie Hicks of Monroe, GA, Marianne Patton of Jesup, GA and brother, Hugh Shannon Elder, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Eugene Scott, daughter, Sallie Ann Scott, and sister, Bettye White. Memorial Services will be Sunday, October 20 at 2 P. M. at Glenloch Baptist Church with Rev. Neil Awbrey officiating. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Saturday from 4 P. M. until 6 P. M.
