Mrs. Wilma Louise Garrett, 69, of Lee Drive, Carrollton died Thursday, July 8, 2010. Mrs. Garrett was born in Canton, Georgia on February 17, 1941, the daughter of the late Jesse Bruce and Frances Hester Bruce. She retired from working in environmental services at Crawford Long Hospital. She was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include her daughters, Sheila Weaver of Carrollton and Brenda (Joe) Weaver of Bethlehem, GA, stepdaughter, Tammy Knight, son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Wayne and Jennifer Weaver, Jr. of Bentonville, AR, sisters, Faye Baker of Northport, AL and Linda Weaver of Buford, GA, first husband, Jerry Weaver, Sr. of Temple, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Stan Garrett, and brothers, Bobby Bruce and Kenneth Bruce. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 2pm from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. David Cunningham officiating. Pallbearers will be Dennis Weaver, Rusty Baker, Allen Bruce, Ricky Bruce, David Wisniewski, Jake Baker, and Matthew Weaver. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
