Mr. Loren Franklin Cole, age 83, of Miller Academy Road, Carrollton died Saturday June 6, 2009.
Mr. Cole was born in Carroll County on April 7, 1926, the son of the late Milton P. Cole and Lula Stamps Cole. Survivors include wife, Bonnell S. Cole, son and daughter-in-law Tony and Debbie Cole, Carrollton, daughter Tina C. Parris, Anniston, AL, grandchildren Kristi and Kelli Parris and David and Tyler Cole, sister and brother-in-law Myrlene and Rev. Charles Barnes, Lilburn. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Duma Cole, and sister, Mildred Cole.
Mr. Cole was a veteran of the U S Army and a retired cattle and chicken farmer. He was a member and deacon of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 11 am from Pleasant View Baptist Church with the Dr. Ron Huggins, Rev. Don Voyles, Rev. Talmadge Chandler and Rev. Charles Barnes officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bob Shirey, Roddy Shirey, Gary Adams, Phil Stamps, David Cole and Tyler Cole. Honorary Pallbearers will be church Deacons and the Bobby Brown Sunday School Class.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 pm.

Interment will be at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery with American Legion Post 143 making the presentation of the flag.
