Mrs. Lizzie Dean Cook, age 101, of Burwell Road, Carrollton, died June 25, 2011. Mrs. Cook was born in Carroll County on December 3, 1909 to John Wesley Dean and Mary Ann Craig Dean. She was a homemaker, member of Bethany Christian Church, and the Joyful Workers Sunday School Class. Surviving are daughter, Virginia Webb, of Carrollton; sons and daughter-in-law, James T. and Sylvia Cook of Carrollton and Johnny E. Cook of Franklin; grandchildren, Tammy and Steve Jiles, Khia and Jeff Thomas, Beth and Clay Little, Tim and Candice Cook, Michael Cook, Mitchell Cook and Mark Cook; sister, Dessie Daniel. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy C. Cook, son, Buford Cook; daughter, Joyce Webb; grandchildren, Jeff Webb, Johnny Edward Cook, Jr. and 11 brothers and sisters. Interment will be at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery Tuesday at 10:00 am. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 11 o'clock from the Chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Minister Allen Howard officiating. Music will be furnished by Sylvia Cook. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
