Linda Fay Blackmon, age 80, of Bremen, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026.
Mrs. Blackmon was born on April 30, 1946, in Rockmart, Georgia, the daughter of the late Samuel Mitchell and Lillian Leach Mitchell.
Linda found happiness in the simple things that made a house feel like home. She loved plants and enjoyed tending to them both indoors and outdoors. She also enjoyed shopping and cooking, often using time in the kitchen as another way to care for those she loved. An animal lover throughout her life, Linda had a special place in her heart for animals and the companionship they provided.
Above all, Linda's greatest joy was her family. She treasured time spent with her children and especially loved being a grandmother. Her grandchildren brought tremendous happiness to her life, and the memories they shared with her will remain a special part of her legacy.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Steven Hagan; sons and daughter-in-law, Chad Blackmon and Andy and Ashley Blackmon; grandchildren, Alyson Blackmon, Derrek Blackmon, Peyton Hagan, Sara Kate Blackmon, Scarlett Blackmon, and Raven Blackmon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon C. Blackmon; son, Brian Blackmon; sisters, Jeanelle Longshore, Floy Hayes; brothers, Duel Mitchell and Sammy Mitchell.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
