Mrs. Lila Huckeba Phillips, age 74 of Carrollton, Georgia departed this life on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Temple, Georgia on December 21, 1942, the daughter of the late Rev. Claude Huckeba and Ruth Kittle Huckeba West.
She graduated from Temple High School, had worked in the banking industry and was a member of Peachtree Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Rev. J. Carlin Phillips; daughters and sons-in-law, Londa and Mason Bush of Buchanan, Jill and Bruce Eison of Carrollton, Janet and Bruce Hembree of Ashland, Alabama; son and daughter-in-law, Evan and Christine Phillips of Carrollton; grandchildren, Mason and Lindsay Bush, Robin and Brian Holcombe, Wesley, Baylee, Lacey and HayliBeth Bush, Lauren and John Yates, Cameron and Ashlynn Eison, Lacey and Jonathan Argo, Ashley, Hunter and Logan Phillps, Madison and Jared Hembree; great grandchildren, Beau and Thad Bush, Lakyn, Lane and Nick Holcombe, Lawson and Brooklyn Yates; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Orvale Engling of Lawrence, Kansas; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Janice Huckeba of Macon, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Fred Boyd, Ginny and Merlin Caldwell and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John T. and Velma Phillips and brother-in-law, Doug Phillips.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Consolation Baptist Church with Dr. Mason Bush officiating.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
Interment will be in church cemetery.
