Obituary

Mrs. Lettie Ann Hackney Driver, age 88, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. She was born on July 7, 1935 in Carroll County to Mallcom and Zennie Ford Hackney.

Lettie Ann graduated from Whitesburg High School in 1953, and married Billie W. Driver in 1955. She was blessed with a daughter, Margery in 1958. She retired from Playtex after 45 years and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Hwy 5 Whitesburg, Georgia. She loved her church family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie W. Driver; daughter, Margery Driver; sister and brother-in-law, Vennie and Wallace Williams; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Gladys Hackney, Loomus and Mary Hackney, Brewer Hackney; and nephews, Jerry Hackney and Dale Hackney.

She is survived by nieces, Billie Gaskin of Smyrna, Georgia, Linda Lanham of Acworth, Georgia, Sheri Taylor of Whitesburg, Georgia, Alana Todd of LaGrange, Georgia, Janice Hackney of Cartersville, Georgia; nephew, Tim Hackney of Adairsville, Georgia, Stanley and Becky Driver of Waynesboro, Georgia and several great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 2 pm from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Alvin Hunnicut officiating and Judy Hunnicutt providing the music. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 pm until the service hour.

Interment will be in Cross Plains Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers, Craig Long, Demp Long, Stanley Long, Steve Campbell, Gary Sellars and Christian Webb.
