Mrs. Letha Hendrix Wallace, age 94, of Bowdon Junction passed away Wednesday January 9, 2013. Mrs. Wallace was born in Stoney Point, Georgia on August 20, 1918, the daughter of the late Monroe Hendrix and Minnie Lee Tuggle Hendrix. Mrs. Wallace was the co-owner of Wallace Builder Supply in Bowdon Junction and member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and David Windom of Carrollton; daughter, Donna Strickland of Bowdon Junction; son and daughter-in-law, Wilbur and Ginger Wallace of Bowdon Junction, grandchildren, Clint and Samantha Strickland, Holly Wallace, Cody Wallace, Jared Wallace, Mike and Lyndi Mashburn, Julie Windom, Leslie and Jake Jordan; great grandchildren, Maddie and Presley Mashburn, and Trucker Jordan. Beside her parents, she was preceeded in death by her first husband, Pvt. Cyril Gordon, second husband, Wilbur James W. J. Wallace, three sisters and a brother. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 12 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Myles Brown and Rev. Herman Parker officiating. The body will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Clint Strickland, Cody Wallace, Jared Wallace, Mike Mashburn, James Wallace, and Wayne Wallace.
