Mr. L. Paul Bush, 89, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

Paul was born on August 22, 1935, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the son of the late Leon Charles Bush and late Lottie Lee Slater.

He graduated from Roosevelt High School, Georgia State University and George Williams College.

Mr. Bush was married to Carolyn Ann Kennemore and together they had three sons – Jeffrey A. Bush, Stephen M. Bush, and David M. Bush.

Paul played basketball, football and track in high school but excelled in baseball. He was in the ROTC in high school and college. He rose to the rank of Captain in the US Army Quartermaster Corp. Paul was a member of Carrollton First Methodist Church and was very active in his Sunday school class.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn A. Kennemore, his great-grandson Luke Michael Bush, his parents L. Charles and Lottie S. Bush; his brother Richard Bush and his wife Virginia Lackey; his brother Jack Bush; and his sister Ellen Bush.

Paul is survived by son Jeff Bush and his wife Rhonda; son Stephen Bush; son David Bush; grandchildren Dylan Bush and his wife Brea; Emily Garrett and her husband Jimmy; Lauren King and her husband AJ; Meagan Parker and her husband Drew; Andrew Bush; Bryan Bush and his wife Karoline; great grandchildren Hudson, Logan, Charlee Ann, Harper, Hadley, Shepherd and Griffin; his sister-in-law Elsie Bryson Bush and her two children Kevin Bush and his wife Stephanie; Derek Bush and his wife Lynnette; his niece Tracey Lundsford and her husband Stan Lunsford; his nephew Craig Bush and his wife Ginger.

Visitation will be held at 9:30 AM, Monday, November 25, 2024. The funeral service will follow visitation at 11:00 AM in the Almon Chapel at Almon Funeral Home, 548 Newnan Street, Carrollton, GA 30117. Burial will follow at Carroll Memory Gardens, located at 914 Stripling Chapel Road, Carrollton, Ga. 30116.

Pallbearers are Dylan Bush, Andrew Bush, Bryan Bush, AJ King, Jimmy Garrett, and Drew Parker.

Honorary Pallbearers are David Yancey of Fayetteville, Georgia, the Adult Friendship Sunday School Class from the Carrollton First Methodist Church, the graduates of Roosevelt High School, Atlanta, Georgia, and his new friends at Brookdale Senior Living Center, Carrollton, Georgia.
