Karen "Kay" Edins, age 72, of Acworth, Georgia, formerly of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, kindness, dedication, and love.

Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Kay was the daughter of the late Bobby Nicholson and her loving parents, Norman and Margaret Brannon Latshaw.

Kay devoted most of her career to the healthcare industry and can be remembered in various roles throughout Carrollton, GA. She eventually retired from the WellStar Health System. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling, working in her yard, and most importantly, spending time with her family, whom she cherished.

She is survived by her devoted husband, E.W. "Wayne" Edins; son and daughter in law, John "Jay" and Tammy Hall; her daughter and son in love, Lynn Sheppard and Stephen Wood; her beloved granddaughters, Tori Hall (Daniel Kaiser), Lexi and Kagan Schafer; sister, Gayle Freeland. She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Nicholson and her loving parents, Norman and Margaret Latshaw.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in early summer, with details to be announced at a later date.
