Mrs. Julia Nell Folsom Saint age 68, of Roopville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in Marietta, Georgia. She was born in Eufaula, Alabama on March 19, 1956, daughter of the late Jack Folsom and Helen Gardner Folsom.
Julia earned her undergraduate degree from Auburn University and later obtained both her Master's and Specialist Degrees from the University of West Georgia. She worked as a teacher, band director and administrator at Ranburne High School, Temple High School, Haralson County Middle / High School, University of West Georgia and retired from Polk County Middle School.
Julia was a devoted member of the James Stewart Chapter of the NSDAR for almost 8 years and served as Regent, Treasurer, Registrar and a trained Genealogist. She embodied everything about God, Home and Country. Julia loved the "ladies" in the group and always looked forward to the meetings and other excursions. She was also a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Taps Across America and Bremen First Baptist Church. She had a deep love for music, animals, and all things Auburn Tigers.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, James Dennis Saint; sons, James Robert Saint and Michael Joseph Saint; brothers, Jim (Debra) Folsom and Michael (Yvonne) Folsom; nephew, Jimmy Folsom; niece, Molly Folsom; and sister-in-law, Faye (Jim) McIntyre. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, George Folsom.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 4 pm to 6 pm.
Funeral service will be on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Dr. Hunter Roe officiating.
Interment will follow the funeral service at Fairview Cemetery in Eufaula, Alabama, at 3 pm EST (2 pm CT) with Rev. Herman Parker officiating
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Carroll County Humane Society, PO Box 1304, Carrollton, Georgia 30112.
