Nov 25, 1938 — Dec 3, 2023
Judith Muschamp Silvey was born in Rome Ga. On November 25th 1938 to the late Herbert and Elise Christine Muschamp. She lived her formative years on her beloved Berry campus. She graduated in 1961. Never leaving her love for Barry behind. She met the love of her life, Aubrey while at a basketball game with her father at Berry. Her father, a professional footballer from England, is where she learned her love of sports, whether growing up, her brother, kids, grandkids, nephews and great nephews. Her support was unbounded either in person or watching on the television cheering their team on to victory. The court ship and subsequent marriage of Judy and Aubrey at Frost Chapel in 1960 made history at Berry college as Judy was the first married student able to attend Berry college. They settled in Carrollton Georgia, where Judy began her career as a home demonstration agent with the University of Georgia, and a wonderful homemaker. Several years later, the family would be complete with a son, David and daughter, Julie. The Silvey's wanted to create a wonderful life for the family by starting a business in 1971, Aubrey Silvey Enterprises. Judy worked as a kindergarten teacher with the Carrollton city school system and helped Aubrey to grow the company and prosper later working full-time with the business. A member of First Baptist Church in Carrollton for over 50 years she shared her wisdom as a Sunday school teacher for several years and sang in the choir. Judy loved and cherished her family with the addition of grandchildren Wren, TJ, Dixie, Ellie, and Lauren her legacy was complete. She was Nana to all of them and each carry a special part of her in their hearts, for no one could have loved her grandchildren more. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all that knew her as a loving wife, mother, nana and supportive friend and will shine brightest for her family that loved her the most.
