Obituary

Joyce Amos Crowe, age 91, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Mrs. Crowe was born in Fulton County, Georgia on April 27, 1933 the daughter of the late Stephen William Amos and Roxie Marietta Horton Amos.

She was a homemaker, attended Bethany Christian Church until she moved to Villa Rica and joined Villa Rica Christian Church now Villa Rica Community Church.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Lamar and Anita Crowe, Jerry and Melody Crowe both of Villa Rica; sister, Joan Amos Poole of Cornelia; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Crowe, Jr.; son, Alton Gene Crowe; daughter, Geray Welch; granddaughter, Jessica Crowe Newsome; brothers, Orvile Amos, Ford Amos, Bobby Amos, Hoyt Amos, Horace Amos; and sisters, Juanita Belk, Pauline Kidd, and Betty Jean Clack.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 5 PM – 8 PM at Almon Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 2 PM from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Minister Will Sexton officiating.

Interment will follow in Bethany Christian Church Cemetery with Minister Billy Kaylor officiating. Nathan Crowe, Ian Crowe, Chad Crowe, Matt Fowler, Dusty Fowler and Jeremy Jones will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Crowe's memory to Villa Rica Community Church, 497 Villa Trace, Villa Rica, GA 30180 or Bethany Christian Church, 2868 Carrollton-Villa Rica Highway, Carrollton, Georgia 30116.
