Mrs. Josette Patricia Smith age 83, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025.

Mrs. Smith was born on May 6, 1941 in Key West, Florida the daughter of the late Pedro J. Santana and Emma Louise Betancourt Santana. She was a member of OLPH Catholic Church.

She found joy in crocheting blankets for family and friends, creating cherished keepsakes with every stitch. An avid reader and music lover, she especially enjoyed the piano. Her love for animals was evident throughout her life. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family, finding the greatest happiness in moments shared with her grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Tanner Medical Center and the Caregivers and Administration at Laurel Glen for the compassionate care they provided.

Survivors include her husband of almost 67 years, Ray H. Smith; daughters, Lisa Ann Fowlkes (David), Lori Leigh Nelson (Tom); grandchildren, Tiffany Rae Vause (Tim), Andrew Ray Fowlkes (Kristen), Tyler Daniel Fowlkes, Noah Thomas Nelson, Natalie Abigail Nelson; great grandchildren, Faith Rae Lynn Vause, Kara Sailor Vause, James Grace Fowlkes, Hudson Ray Fowlkes and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Rae Lynn Smith Koenigkramer.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Tuesday,February 11,2025 from 11 am to 1 pm.

Funeral mass will be Tuesday, February 11,2025 at 2 pm at OLPH Catholic Church with Father Joe Wagner officiating.

Interment will be in the OLPH Catholic Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to OLPH Catholic Church, 210 Old Centerpoint Road, Carrollton, Georgia 30117.
