Mr. Joseph Lucian Williams, age 91, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

Mr. Williams was born on December 14, 1934, in College Park, Georgia, the son of the late John Henry Williams and Macey Mae (Hamil) Williams.

Mr. Williams proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Rifle Specialist. During his time in the Army, he played baseball and was a member of the rifle team. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Professionally, Mr. Williams enjoyed a long and successful career with Arrow Shirt Company, serving as Southeast Regional Manager for more than 41 years. He was a faithful member of Walker United Methodist Church in Greensboro, Georgia.

An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Williams especially enjoyed fishing and spending time on the lake. Some of his happiest moments were spent at his lake home on Lake Oconee. He was also an enthusiastic sports fan who enjoyed cheering for the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons. When he wasn't outdoors or watching sports, he enjoyed cooking and grilling for those around him. Above all, Mr. Williams was a family man who treasured the time he shared with those he loved.

Joseph is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Lynn (Williams) Ball, and John Ball Jr.; Kimberley Jo (Williams) Byrd and Scott Byrd; grandchildren, Bradley Byrd and his wife, Vicki, Kaitlin Mixon and her husband, Matt, and Dylan Byrd; great-grandchild, Tyler Mixon; and sister, LaVonnie Williams. Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ruth Williams; sisters, Katherine Johnson and Juanita Williams; and brother, John Henry Williams.

Mr. Williams will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his proud military service, his love of the outdoors and animals, and the many years he spent enjoying life with those closest to him.
