Mrs.Jewell Cole, age 98, of Waco, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014. Mrs. Cole was born in Paulding County, Georgia on December 28, 1915, the daughter of the late Henry Crew and Della Wiesener Crew. She retired as a textile worker and was a devoted member of Salem Baptist Church. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. Survivors include her son, Sammy (Kathy) Horton of Bowdon; son, Kenneth Horton of Carrollton; grandchildren, Sharon (Steve) Muse, Debbie Horton, Dennis Horton, Russ Horton, Ryan Horton, Brandi Rosamond, Jeff Horton, Jason Benefield, Ken Horton, Jade Horton and 12 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Horton; second husband, Ernest Cole; son, Grover Horton; daughter, Barbara Horton and brother, Alton Crew. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Saturday from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Funeral service will be Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Milford Ballenger officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
