Mr. Jesse James Prater age 29, of Bremen, Georgia passed away on October 15, 2024.

Jesse was born on May 16, 1995 in Sandy Springs, Georgia the son of Rodney Prater and Carrie Shadrix Prater. He was a 2014 graduate of Bremen High School. While in high school he was on the track team and cross-country team. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed going to the gym but most of all he loved to help people with their addiction problems.

Survivors include his dad and step-mom, Rodney Prater (Vicki); mom, Carrie Shadrix Prater (fiancé, David Thomasson; sister and brother-in-law, Rachel Prater Dickinson (Noah); son, Alexander Guy Prater; Alexander's grandparents, Joey and Rita Meeks; grandmother, Sue Carroll Prater; aunts, Regina Puckett (Rick), Julie McLeod (Tommy), Lorri Tomei (Rick); cousins, Bo King, Madison King, Shadra Tomei and Nick Tomei. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James W. Prater and grandparents, William and Ruth Shadrix.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 2:30 pm to 4 p.m.

Due to his wishes his body was cremated.
