Mr. Jesse T. Hendrix, age 90, of Temple, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Mr. Hendrix was born in Carrollton, Georgia on November 25, 1924, the son of the late Jessie Hendrix and Eula Mae Hammonds Hendrix. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge East Point #288, South Fulton Shrine Club and Red Oak Baptist Church. He owned and operated Jesse Hendrix Builders where he built many homes in the Atlanta area. Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Allen Jones of Temple, Barbara Hendrix of Bremen; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Alford Hendrix of Eugene, OR; sisters, Betty Hill of Sumatra, FL and Elsie Cannon of Columbus, GA. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hendrix; daughters, Sue Hendrix, Debbie Brown; brothers, Herman Hendrix, Milford Hendrix; sisters, Ruby McGinnis and Ellen Cato. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service hour. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Windom officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Jones, Kelly Jones, Allen Jones, Nick Jones, James King, Matthew Carnaghi, and Richie Brown. Interment will be in West Georgia Memorial Park with Military honors and Masonic rights. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N.
