Mr. Jerry Wayne Silas, 65, of W. Carroll Rd., Whitesburg died Thursday, December 23, 2010. Mr. Silas was born in Talladega, Alabama on October 6, 1945, the son of the late Leonard Silas and Esther Lee Silas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a cabinet maker with R & S Cabinet Company, a 33 Degree Mason and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his brothers, Tommy Silas, Gene Silas of Oxford, Alabama, Horace Silas of Albertville, Alabama; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Tammy Goolsby of Whitesburg. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Silas, Billy Silas, Pete Silas and sister, Mickie Thomson.
