Mr. Jerry Harris McEwen, age 86 of Carrollton, Georgia died Saturday, November 30, 2019 at his residence. Mr. McEwen was born in the Center Point Community of Carroll County, Georgia on November 30, 1933, the son of the late George Harris McEwen and Annie Shell McEwen. He was retired from Carroll Mills; a veteran having served in the U.S. Army and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his son, Richard Harper of Carrollton; daughter, Debbie Bennett of Bremen; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbi McEwen; daughter, Jean Harper Burgess; sisters, Ruth Helton and Betty Street. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family at Mr. McEwen's residence. A graveside memorial service and inurnment will be Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Carroll Memory Gardens with Rev. David Childers officiating.
