Jason
Clark
Sep 2, 1974 — Jul 26, 2024
Jason Clark, age 50, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 26th, 2024. His wife, Kelly, daughter and son-in-law Amber and Nathan Kistler joined him in his assent into heaven.
Jason joined the grammy nominated Dove Award winning, Gospel Music Hall of Fame gospel group The Nelons in 1995. He and Kelly married in 2001, and after Rex Nelon retired from traveling, he and Kelly took over management of the group. He enjoyed singing with his wife and two daughters Amber and Autumn Streetman.
Jason was a talented bass player, producer, arranger, songwriter, as well as singer, and under his guidance The Nelons continued to be known for their blend of gospel, a cappella, hymns, Americana, folk, and inspirational music, and their harmonic sound. Jason's musicianship and ability to arrange infectious harmonies, along with Kelly's breathtaking alto, Amber's soaring soprano, and Autumn's folksy vocal tone and mandolin playing blend to create a sound that was enthralling. He was named Producer of the Year in 2021 by Absolutely Gospel, and many soloists and groups took advantage of his expertise by having him produce their projects.
In addition to everything else he achieved, he was also an Ordained Minister, and preached at several churches throughout the years. He could always be counted on to bring a message to help, teach, and inspire.
Jason's surviving family are his parents Dan & Linda Clark, brother Danny J Clark (Chery), daughter Autumn Streetman (Jamie) and nieces and nephews.
Jason's testimony he left us with is Look for Me.
… When you finally make your entrance to that city
Of jasper walls and bright gold avenues
As you behold all it's beauty and it's splendor
Remember, there's just one request I make of you
… Look for me, for I will be there too
I realize, when you arrive, there'll be so much to view
After you've been there ten thousand years, a million, maybe two
Look for me, for I will be there too
