Mrs. Janie Lois White Caraway - Currie, age 89, of Carrollton passed away November 9, 2014. Mrs. Currie was born in Chattanooga, TN on January 7, 1925 to the late Ben Newton White and Agnes Scoggin White. She was a retired LPN with Memorial Hospital in Etowah, TN and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Jimmie Carol Brannon of West Palm Beach, FL, Nelda Jennifer and Paul Gerard of Villa Rica, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery Oliver and Victoria Smith of Decula, GA; sisters, Edna White Trewhitt of Villa Rica, GA, Maureen White Jordan of Clarksville, GA, Nelda White Collinson of Riva, MD; grandchildren, Kelly Hunt, Scott Moses, Jason Brannon, Jessie Anthony; great grandchildren, Paulina Smith, Kate Hannah Smith; great great grandchild, Vivian Harris. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by husbands, James Oliver Smith, Wilbur "Hardin" Caraway and Arthur Gerald Currie; daughter, Janice Deanna Duus and brother, Ben White. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Graveside and interment will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lake City, SC.
