Mrs. Janice Stephens Shackelford, age 78 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015. Mrs. Shackelford was born in Carroll County, Georgia on June 25, 1937, the daughter of the late William Roy Stephens and Geneva Taylor Stephens. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and wife. She was of the Christian faith. Survivors include her husband, Lee Shackelford; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Joanne Shackelford of Carrollton; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Chuck Barron also of Carrollton; grandchildren, Bethany Shackelford, Jay (Jennifer) Shackelford, Trish (Michael) Engle, Hope (Allen) Weathersbee; great grandchildren, Hailey Denney, Logan Shackelford, Mikayla Engle, Jackson Engle and Olivia Weathersbee; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Mike Musick of Carrollton. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Warren officiating. Pallbearers will be Buster Edwards, Judson Bell, Mike Musick, Jay Shackelford, Michael Engle, Allen Weathersbee and Randall Swanger.
