Mr. James Thomas Terrell, age 65 of Sandhill Hulett Road, Villa Rica died Friday, June 10, 2011. Mr. Terrell was born in Carroll County, Georgia on June 20, 1945, the son of the late Grover W. Terrell and Dora Bailey Terrell. He was self employed in home construction and drywall and a member of Tallapoosa Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Vickie C. Terrell; son and daughter-in-law, Edward G. and Shannon Terrell of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly Terrell Duffey and Barry Duffey of Villa Rica, Ann Terrell Hunnicutt and Marc Hunnicutt of Carrollton; grandchildren, Wade Terrell, Grant Terrell, Jessica Duffey, Calvin Hunnicutt; sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura and Richard Whitmondt of Marietta, Terri and Billy Chambers of Ranburne, Alabama, Linda and Don Wertenberger of Bowdon. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil W. Terrell, Lawrence Edward Terrell and sister, Joyce Marie Todd. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Saturday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Sunday, June 12 at 4 p.m. at Tallapoosa Primitive Baptist Church with Elder James Blair and Elder Lloyd Blair officiating. His body will be placed in state at the church from 3:30 p.m. until the funeral hour. Pallbearers will be Ty Thompson, Paul Todd, Gregg Todd, William Todd, Jamie Terrell, Tommy Wertenberger and Rob Craig. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
