Obituary

Mr. James Harold Perkins, age 60 of Villa Rica, Georgia died suddenly Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Mr. Perkins was born in Highland Park, Illinois on August 26, 1952, the son of Robert James Perkins and the late Hildegarde Skyrm Matthews. He received his Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Computer Science and Master's degree in Management Information Systems from Northern University. Mr. Perkins was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy, a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council 8731 Assembly 2562, Parish Council, and former Fairfield POA board member and treasurer. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan! Survivors include his wife, Annette Marie Koch Perkins; children, William James Perkins, Elizabeth Anne Perkins; father, Robert James Perkins; brothers, Robert Jay Perkins and Christopher Perkins; sisters, Judy Katheryn Perkins Wiesner and Jennifer Perkins; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Herbert W. and Deborah M. Koch, Alfred and Meliva Koch; nephew, Matthew H. Koch; niece, Melissa Koch Neumeister and her husband, David Neumeister; great nephews, Tanner and Zayden Neumeister. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmar and Hedwig Koch. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Friday, May 3 from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m with Rosary following. Funeral mass will be Saturday, May 4 at 3 o'clock at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Rafael Carballo officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus. Interment will be in OLPH Catholic Church Cemetery with the U.S. Navy providing military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family request any memorials be sent in Jim's name to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church; Special Project Fund, 210 Old Center Point Road, Carrollton, Georgia 30117.
