Mr. James William Patterson known to all as Bubba, age 75, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024.

Mr. Patterson was born in Ben Hill, Georgia on November 28, 1948, the son of the late Jessie James Patterson and Ellen Louise Martin Patterson. He retired from the City of Atlanta in 2009, where he was a mechanic for 43 years and 2 months.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Patrick Garrett; grandchildren Dylan, Tyler and Kaitlyn Garrett; brother, Lawrence Patterson of

Land O' Lakes, Florida, brother and sister-in-law Walter and Joan Patterson of Cedar Bluff, Alabama; sisters, Mandy Shipman of Maysville, Georgia, Rose Thomas of Douglasville, Georgia, Juanita Steward of Newnan, Georgia; and brother Steven Patterson of Austell, Georgia; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Willie Mae Cain Patterson; grandson, Aiden James; sisters, Sandra Sellers and Valorie Shipman.

The family would also like to thank long time family friends Billy and Elaine Bedingfield and their son Paul Bedingfield for being there in their time of need.
