James "Jim" Robert Perry, age 53, of Ft. Collins, Colorado, passed away on October 5, 2023. He was born on October 28, 1969, in Carrollton, Georgia, to Robert David Perry and the late Mary Ann Jeter Perry.

Jim was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carrollton. He had a deep passion for life, finding joy in the simple pleasures. Jim loved casting his line into the water, pursuing his love for fishing, and golf. He had an eye for photography, enjoyed the serenity of hiking, and the thrill of exploring new places. Jim was also an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Katie Perry, and her fiance, Kevin Quintanar, of Ladson, South Carolina; father, David (Bettie) Perry of Carrollton; sisters: Judy (Vince) Ray of Carrollton, Jennie Perry of Panama City Beach, Florida; nephew Christopher (Avery) Hicks; great-niece Molly Rae Hicks; special friend, Leslie Bradley and his loyal companion, his travel dog Cleo. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Jeter Perry. In addition to his family, Jim leaves behind countless friends who will remember him for his warm spirit and love for adventure.

A memorial service to celebrate Jim's life will be held at the First Baptist Church, Friday, October 20, 2023 at 1 o'clock. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 am until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Jim's name to Carroll County Humane Society, PO Box 1304, Carrollton, Georgia 30112.
