James Howard Holliday Mr. James Howard Holliday, age 73, of Leigh Lane, Carrollton passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Mr. Holliday was born in Roanoke, AL on December 30, 1937, the son of the late William "T" Holliday and Virginia Sherman Holliday. Mr. Holliday was a retired 1st Sgt. with the US Army and also a retired mechanic with Southwire Company. He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters and son-in-laws, Diana and Chris Rabun of Carrollton, Shellie and Chad Morris of Bowdon; son, Jim Holliday, Jr. of Johnson City, TN, son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Teresa Holliday of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Bobby Holliday, Caitlin and Blake Holliday, Maigan and Tyler Morris; and brother, Paul Holliday of Roanoke, AL. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Priscilla Garner Holliday, and infant sister, Sonja Holliday. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Rabun, Chad Morris, Alan Griffith, Jimmy Yates, Tyler Morris, and Jamie Wilkinson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd. Suite 280, Kennesaw, GA 30144 or Carroll County Alzheimer's Support Group, Inc.
