Mr. James William "J.W." Hale, age 91, of Carrollton, Georgia died Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Mr. Hale was born in Carroll County, Georgia on July 10, 1922, the son of the late Rev. O.M. Hale and Maude Todd Hale. He worked for Carroll EMC for 40 years as a construction superintendent and was a member of Clem United Methodist Church. Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Diane Hale of Douglasville, Georgia, Susan and Tom Kilgore of Carrollton, Barbara Neal of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Wiggins, Kim Reeves, Kevin Kilgore; great grandchildren, Laura Brammer and John Brammer. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Friday, February 21 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, February 21 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Standridge officiating. Interment will be in the Carrollton City Cemetery.
