Mr. James Harold Caldwell, age 78 of Banning Road, Whitesburg, Georgia passed away Monday, September 17, 2007. Mr. Caldwell was born, in Carroll County, on February 11, 1929, the son of the late Edgar Lee Caldwell and Essie Leola Gentry Caldwell. He lived most of his life in Cobb County, moving back to Carrollton four years ago after retiring. He was a retired self-employed roofing contractor, a veteran having served in the US Army and a member of Consolation Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Earline White Caldwell; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Brandy Caldwell of Carrollton; grandson, Caleb Caldwell of Carrollton and sister, Martha Hawks of Austell. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. Graveside service and interment will be Tuesday, September 18 at 3 p.m. from Welcome Methodist Church in Heard County with Rev. Mike Powers officiating. Pallbearers will be Dorsey Garrett, Joe Garrett, Terry Payton, Jack Adams, Nathaniel Ellis and Fred Prince. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m..
