Inez Patterson Presnal, 93, passed away after an extended illness at Madison Health and Rehab. Born 5 September 1916 to Emma Green and Ezra Joseph Patterson, she was a life-long resident of Carroll County. She was married to Grady T. Presnal February 25, 1933, also of Carroll County. Mrs. Presnal worked a number of years for Singer Sewing Machine Company until she opened her own alteration and monogramming shop on Brown Street—Inez's Sewing Basket. She was a faithful member and Sunday School Teacher at First Christian Church, a 30 year volunteer to Tanner Medical Center's Auxiliary(Pink Ladies) and an active member of the West GA Quilter's Guild having her quilts on display at the library and winning many awards. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, and two sisters, Helen Young and Naomi Thompson, also of Carrollton. She is survived by one sister, Susie Newman of Smyrna, GA. As a loving mother and grandmother, she leaves daughter Terrye Proctor of Orange Park, FL and grandchildren Paul Proctor, Gainesville, Fl, Jason(Jennifer) Proctor of EastHampton, Mass, and Erin Proctor, Jefferson, GA and her very special friend and neighbor, Elizabeth Smith of Carrollton and children/families, Susan(Jack) Carr of Yakima, Washington and J. Wendell(Marie) Smith of Bowdon. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and their families. Funeral service will be held Monday, April 5 at 4 o'clock at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Minister Allen Howard officiating. Music will be by Susan Ingle, Dawn Broome, Anita Craven and Louanne Hutcheson. Pallbearers will be Buddy Lambert, Chuck Willis, Ralph Johnson, Tony Tarpley, Kenny Chambers, and Michael Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be the Tanner Medical Center Auxiliary and West Georgia Quilters Guild. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday from 2 p.m. until funeral service. Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens.
