Mr. Hiram Joseph "H.J." Kenerly, age 80 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Mr. Kenerly was born in Carrollton, Georgia on April 24, 1936, the son of the late G.G. Kenerly and Lila Crawford Kenerly. He served 2 years in the U.S. Air Force, retired from Ford Motor Company in Hapeville, Georgia and was a member of the First Christian Church of Carrollton. Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff and April Kenerly of Zebulon, Georgia, Wesley Kenerly of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Ashton, Brock and Kyle Kenerly and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Montes Kenerly and brother, Wayne Kenerly. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, November 4, 2016 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Barnhart officiating. Pallbearers will be Kyle Kenerly, Jim Grant, Jason Bonnette, Stephen Latimer, Chris Latimer and Jeff Latimer. Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens with American Legion Post #143 providing military honors.
