Mr. Gregory Patrick Birge, age 54 of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014.Mr. Gregory Patrick Birge, age 54 of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014. Mr. Birge was born in Carrollton, Georgia on January 5, 1960, the son of Dr. Jack Birge, Sr., and the late Jean Whitley Birge. He was employed at Logistic Care Solutions where he was Corporate Director of Utilization and Review. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Connie W. Birge; daughter, Anna Birge; son, William N. Birge and grandson, Tristin Birge all of Villa Rica, GA; father and stepmother, Dr. Jack and Barbara Birge of Villa Rica, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin and Barbara Birge of LaGrange, GA, Jack and Dawn Birge of Carrollton; sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and John Rowell of Leesburg, VA, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Klaus and Sieglinde Widmann of Smyrna, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Whitley Birge. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Davis officiating. In keeping with the family's wishes, his body was cremated and Greg's final resting place will be on Dauphin Island.
