Mrs. Glenda Hall Banks age 84, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
Mrs. Banks was born on April 27, 1940 in Camak, Georgia the daughter of the late Owen Glendower Hall and Hattie Claire Shelton Hall. She met her husband, Norman Banks at Gulf Oil and they got married on January 5, 1963. She was a homemaker and member of the Carrollton First Methodist Church, the Agape Sunday School Class and a former member of the Carrollton's Woman's Club and Garden Club. She loved to volunteer for the Magnolia Ball, church activities and many other civic organizations. One of her favorite hobbies was travelling with the Carrollton Recreation Department and her best friend, Fran Brittain. She attended numerous sporting events with her family and was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves and Nascar. Most of all she loved her family and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Keith (Mindy) Banks; daughter, Kelli (Jeff) Teems; grandchildren, Chayson, Peyton, Cameron and Anna Claire Teems, Connor and Christian Banks; great grandson, Carver William Teems; sister, Sonya Quinn and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Wayne Banks.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 10:30 am till 11:30 am.
A celebration of life service will follow at the Carrollton First Methodist Church on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 12 noon with Rev. Ken Stephens officiating.
A private family interment will be held at Carroll Memory Gardens.
