Mrs. Gladys Velma Patterson, age 80, of Mt. Zion, Georgia passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023.

Mrs. Patterson was born on July 31, 1942 in Acworth, Georgia the daughter of the late Jackson V. McFall and Cary Taylor McFall. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and loved to worship and sing in the Lord's house. She retired from Stoffel Seals and enjoyed crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her son, Jeff Harper; daughter, Sonya Patterson (Ron Hipps); stepsons, Wesley Patterson (Lori), Randall Patterson (Geneva); stepdaughter, Sheila Blankenship; granddaughter, Krystal Phillips; 7 step grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren and three sisters. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years John Balis "J.B." Patterson; daughters, Pam Harper, Rhonda Byrd; stepson, Johnny Patterson; three sisters and three brothers.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 10 am to 12 noon.

A graveside service and interment will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 3 p.m. with Rev. Chester Pesnell and Rev. Anthony Puckett officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
