Mrs. Gladys Lee Griffis Boatright, age 89, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on April 16, 2026.

Mrs. Boatright was born on March 31, 1937, in Carrollton, Georgia, to the late John Verner Griffis and Mary Annice Hendrix Griffis. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of Consolation Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilt making, gardening, and cooking, and she especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Terri Lynn Boerner (Bobby); son, Rick Boatright (Donna); grandchildren, Holly Trask and Sierra Boatright; and great-grandchild, Olivia Blackmon. She is also survived by her sister, Melba Smith; sister-in-law, Joyce Boatright; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel M. Boatright; brother, Garland Griffis; sister, Brenda Chapman; and infant sister, Juanita.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregiver, Lady Willa Mae Vaughn, for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Mrs. Boatright.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Cross Plains Baptist Church with Pastor Joshua Boatright officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 PM until the service hour.

Interment will follow in the Cross Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Ivey, Eric Benefield, Matthew Boatright, Tony Hudgins, Jimmy Horsley, and Ricky Weaver. Honorary pallbearer will be Tim Boatright.
