Mr. George Wilson Loftin, age 75 of Carrollton, Georgia died Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Mr. Loftin was born February 22, 1944 in Graham, Alabama, the son of the late W.W. Loftin and Adel Cole Loftin. He was retired from General Motors and the City of Carrollton Recreation Department. Mr. Loftin was a member of Roopville Road Baptist Church. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, loved the Lord, his family and church. Survivors include his wife, Janie Brock Loftin; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy George (Teresa) Loftin of Bowdon; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Anne (Mike) Hicks of Dallas, Georgia; grandchildren, Jessica (Wesley) Henry, Sara (Jacob) Fulton, Kayla (Cris) Bancroft; five great grandchildren; brothers, Harold Loftin of Carrollton, Cole Loftin of Carrollton; brother-in-law, Dawson Richards of Carrollton and two special nephews, Drake and Parker Loftin. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anne Richards. The family will receive friends at Roopville Road Baptist Church on Friday, March 8 from 12noon until 2 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. with Dr. Stephen Peeples and Minister Cris Bancroft officiating. Music will be by Bryant Turner. Pallbearers will be Waymon Cheatwood, Barney Flanders, Anthony Hill, Wayne Lipham, Ray Mashburn, Tim Eady, Jimmy Shirey and Julian Smith. Interment will be in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Roopville Road Baptist Church, 835 N.
