Gary Stephens, age 66, of Carrollton, Georgia and passed away on May 16, 2026.

Gary was born on June 30, 1959, in Carrollton, Georgia the son of the late Wilson Fred Stephens and Mildred Davis Stephens. He dedicated his career to his work as a forklift technician for West Georgia Forklift Repair. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and Georgia football, playing video games and chess, grilling for loved ones, and cherishing time spent with family.

He is survived by his children: Matt (Crystal) Stephens, Stephanie (Matt) Bristol, and DJ (Kristen) Williams; grandchildren: Austin Parker (Morgan), Alexandria Manning (Phillip), Skylar Brown, Zachary Stephens, Lili Stephens, Hunter Bristol (Chloe), Chase Bristol (Allie), Macie Bristol, Cole Williams, and Lexi Williams; as well as six great-grandchildren. Gary is also survived by his brothers Lynn (Diane) Stephens and Cary (Cindy) Stephens and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Edwards Stephens; his parents; his brother Ronald Wayne Stephens (Dot); nephews Michael Stephens, Chris Stephens, and Benji Stephens; and his aunt Willian "Bill" Davis.

In accordance with Gary's wishes, he was cremated. A graveside service and inurnment will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 2 PM in Carroll Memory Gardens.
