Evelyn Grace Morgan, age 96, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024. She was born on November 12, 1928, in Forsyth County, to the late Minor C. Smith, Sr., and Lerlene Cagle Smith.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Evelyn's life was centered around her family and her unwavering love for children. She dedicated over 20 years of her life to working in day care, where she nurtured and cared for generations of young minds. Her warmth, kindness, and patience touched the lives of countless children, earning her the admiration and affection of all who knew her.

Evelyn was a lover of the outdoors, especially camping and spending time in the mountains, where she found peace and joy. Her love for nature was matched only by her love for her family, and she treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Langley, Phillip Langley, Keith Morgan; daughter, Wanda Hardy; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Whitaker and her brother, Gene Smith. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Louis Morgan; and her brother, Minor C. Smith, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Almon Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 11 AM from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park Cemetery, 6841 Tara Blvd., Jonesboro, GA 30236.
