Obituary

Ethan Thomas Sailers, Sr., age 61, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Ethan was born on July 2, 1963, in Atlanta, Georgia to parents, Eugene and Eva Jo Sailers. He was a loving husband of 37 years to his wife Holly Sailers, and a dedicated father to their son, Ethan, Jr. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and was a lifelong Yellow Jacket fan. Ethan was employed at Southwire for 22 years, where he held the position as Director of Energy Inventory Planning, and obtained his Production and Inventory Management Certificate. He was a member of the Carrollton Presbyterian Church and supported the Carrollton Evening Sertoma Club.

He enjoyed playing golf, cooking, working in his yard, and hosting Georgia Tech tailgates. He also loved music and was known for being an avid Bruce Springsteen fan.

He is survived by his wife, Holly Sailers; his son, Ethan Thomas Sailers Jr.; his brother, Eric Sailers (Joanne); his aunts, Linda Potts, Shirley Wilson, Kathy Perry (Randall) and many cousins.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his uncles, J.D. and Thomas Potts, Walter Wilson, and Ed Sailers.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at Almon Funeral Home, 548 Newnan Street, Carrollton, GA, 30117.

The memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Carrollton Presbyterian Church, 124 Maple Street, Carrollton, GA, followed by a Celebration of Life Reception at Sunset Hills Country Club, One Club Drive, Carrollton, GA from 12:00 to 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Carrollton Empty Stocking fund, P.O. Box 1036, Carrollton, GA 30112; or to Carrollton Presbyterian Church, 124 Maple Street, Carrollton, GA 30117.
