Mrs. Ellie Inez Dean, age 78 of Barrett Road, Bowdon died Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Mrs. Dean was born in Carrollton on June 3, 1931, the daughter of the late Jeff Britt and Dora Warren Britt. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Avis and Joe Tolbert of Carrollton, Louise Hefley of Bowdon, Joyce and Robert Yancey of Collinsville, Alabama; sons and daughters-in-law, Alvin and Betty Bentley of Carrollton, Denver Bentley of Carrollton, Junior and Sharon Bentley of Ranburne, Alabama, David Bentley of LaGrange, Terry Kilgore of LaGrange; brothers, Buford Britt of Carrollton, Bobby Britt of Carrollton, Benny Britt of Temple and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Curtis Dean; two children; two grandchildren and two sisters. Funeral service will be Friday, May 28 at 4 o'clock from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Blackwelder and Rev. Jimmy Collins officiating. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Friday from 2 p.m. until the funeral time. Pallbearers will be Cameron Brown, Austin Brown, Scott Holland, Toby Britt, Jay Tolbert and Mark Brown. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
