Elizabeth Marlow Davis

Mrs. Elizabeth Marlow Davis, age 89, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Mrs. Davis was born July 6, 1937, in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of the late Elbert Lee Marlow and Lola Marie Rice Marlow.

She attended business college, where she earned a certificate in a secretarial course. During her career, Mrs. Davis worked as an administrative assistant with the Jefferson County Health Department and as a medical secretary at Central Health Center.

Mrs. Davis was a member of Carrollton First Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, often gathering with them to dine out. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing golf with her late husband, David “Bud” Davis.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise Shiver; granddaughters, Arcana Almeida and S. Forden Shiver; nieces, Carolyn Staggs, Linda Price and her caregiver, Elizabeth Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David “Bud” Davis; brother, Bobby F. Marlow; and sister, Logene Legar.

A graveside service and interment will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. (EST) at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Birmingham, Alabama.
