Mrs. Eleanor Judy Cogan, age 83, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024.

Eleanor Judy was born on July 8, 1940, in Clayton, New Jersey, the beloved daughter of the late Robert Wright and Naomi Abdill Wright. She devoted much of her life to her career as a Banker Assistant to Fred Hutchins at Peoples Bank.

Her love for life was evident in her many passions. Eleanor Judy was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, and could often be found engrossed in a new book, as she almost read a book a day. She also enjoyed dining out and dancing, sharing many joyous moments with friends and family.

Eleanor Judy is survived by her loving husband, Leslie C. Cogan; her daughter, Linda (Patrick) Allen; her son, John (Kristin) Cogan; her cherished grandchildren, Jeremy Gonzalez, Amanda Gonzalez, Emily Cogan, and Evalyn Cogan; her great-grandchildren, Eleanor Gonzalez, Addison Vann, and Arwen Cogan; and her sister, Barbara Wright. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandchild, Palmer Cogan.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 11 AM until 1 PM at Almon Funeral Home.

A private family service and inurnment will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
