Mr. Eddie Roy Walker, 90, of Carrollton, GA passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013. Mr. Walker was born in Ellijay, GA on October 20, 1922, the son of the late Earnest Fletcher Walker and Lena Baker Walker. He was a veteran in the U. S. Navy where he served as a gunner abroad the US Carrier The Antietam during WWII. He retired as a technician from BellSouth and was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Debra Walker and daughter and son-in-law, Deb and Robert McDonald, all of Carrollton, grandchildren, Jessica Walker and Luke Walker. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Walker, daughter, Linda Walker McNeely, and sister, Maybelle Benefield. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 15 at 2 P. M. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy Gentry officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Hall, Bert Hall, Chris Justice, James Lumsden, Robert McDonald, and Luke Walker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5 p. m. until 7 p. m. Memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll County Humane Society, P. O.
