Dylan James Deaton, age 28, was born on April 27, 1998, and passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2026.

Born to James Steven Deaton and Tracy Lynn Deaton, Dylan lived life with a contagious enthusiasm that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He cherished every opportunity to make others smile and laugh, and his adventurous spirit, kind heart, and genuine love for people will be remembered always.

Dylan had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, raising chickens, and spending time in nature. He had a lifelong fascination with snakes and reptiles, loved singing, dancing, and playing the guitar, and embraced life with silliness and energy that inspired those around him. Whether sharing a laugh with friends, pursuing his many hobbies, or simply enjoying the beauty of God's creation, Dylan lived each day to the fullest.

Dylan is survived by his mother, Tracy Lynn Deaton; his brother, Robert Hurley; his bonus daughter, Ava Estelle Smith; his grandmothers, Sandra Burd (Ken Burd) and Sherry Albin; his aunt and uncle, Susan and Dana Westing; his cousin, Sarah Lehman; and many other extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Dylan was preceded in death by his beloved girlfriend, Mackenzie Tate Smith, with whom he passed, and his father, James Steven Deaton

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Almon Funeral Home and Chapel. A Celebration of Dylan's Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Almon Funeral Home Chapel, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the life he lived.
