Dorothy Mae Jones, age 79, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025.

She was born in Carrollton, Georgia on February 6, 1945, daughter of the late Troy Mathis Gore and Vera Mae Frashier.

Ms. Jones worked in the textile mill industry as a supervisor and was a member of Christ Way Worship Center. She loved dirt track racing but most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.

She is survived by her children and spouses, Kimberly Hope and David Fortner, Timothy Herbert and Mandy Jones, Michael Anthony and Janet Jones; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Henry and Mildred Gore, Joe Mathis Gore; sisters and brother-in-law, Janice Poss and Tiny Hope and Howard Eason. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Russell Jones, Sr.; grandson, Jacob Jones; sister-in-law, Judy Gore and brother-in-law, Walter Poss.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 12 Noon at Christ Way Worship Center, 3281 Carrollton Villa Rica Hwy, Carrollton, GA 30116.
