Miss Dorothy "Dottie" Virginia Mitchell, age 64 of Carrollton, Georgia died Friday, October 26, 2012. Dottie was born in Carrollton, Georgia on December 4, 1947, the daughter of Glennis Browning Mitchell and the late Oscar Joe Mitchell. She spent most of her career in the banking industry working for banks in Carrollton and Atlanta. Dottie was a member of North Point Baptist Church. Survivors include her mother, Glennis B. Mitchell of Carrollton; brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Shelia Mitchell of London, Kentucky; nieces, Jennifer Tuten of Mt. Zion, Kate Mitchell of Mt. Zion, Sara Mitchell of London, Kentucky; great nieces and nephew, Adlar Tuten, Carrigan Tuten, Chloe Hague and Avary Hague. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Glen Mitchell and sister, Margaret Ann Mitchell. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 30 at 11 o'clock at North Point Baptist Church with Pastor Rodney Agan officiating.
